O_O

soothing heckin' chune my dude

SomebodysHero responds:

Thanks a bunch!

Groovy heckin' drop. The mixing is mostly okay, although I hear some odd bumps in the sub bass on the drop which I'm not sure if they come from the deep sawey bass; they specifically occur right before every second snare.

The chord progression, while pretty alright, gets kinda old and repetitive after 3 minutes, and it doesn't help the sounds used throughout are pretty similar so there's not much feeling of development or evolution. Alhough it's understandable with your new song everyday thing (props on 11 days btw), maybe you could try developing a progression or melody more in one of your next songs?

IMO just trying to vary your choices of sound and melody more as a tune progresses can go long ways into improving the quality of your tracks, just a tip. Nice job on this!

Thank you! Definitely something to aim for.

I can definitely hear the mind control, revenge and power in this. Kinda makes me think of an authoritarian powerful leader misusing his power for self-gain and opression, and an underground group of vigilantes that are planning a powerful strike on the leader, and a calculated movement to educate those that have fallen under his spell. This is great!

Hooh man, this is amazing. The instrumentation is just so polished and articulate, and the melody and progression is so beautiful. Not much to say, I could definitely imagine this in some professional high-budget movie or series. Really good job!

I fucking love it

The lead sound in the first 8 seconds sounds dry, it could use a chorus effect or reverb to make it more involved-sounding. The melody, while okay, only has notes on each beat and it feels kinda like it's sitting still, there's no much movement or change of rhythm (I can't explain it perfectly). Quite short tune, so there's not much feeling of progress but I do appreciate the variation every 4 bars. Nicely done, but there's room for improvement.

This is some sick atmosphere, I love it.

The drone sounds are really interesting, could maybe use 'em for a dark D&B track or something. And props on the progression too, adding or changing things up every 4 bars. In a more subjective note though I kinda feel the track is a bit too short. This track only has one... peak? chorus? drop?, which I feel doesn't quite justify the 1 minute long intro and build up.

I'd instead try to keep the intro and build up at about 30 seconds or so if the track's gonna be short, get to the point. BUT if you feel the length is fine then sure go for it. One little other thing I wanna point out is that some reverb sounds are very mono, more noticeably the clicky lead that comes in at 0:44. I'd personally widen the effect, make it more stereo so it surrounds the listener, it's a cool effect.

Props on the sound design though, it gives a mysterious and dark feeling which I assume is what you aimed for. Did you do the sounds yourself or did you use presets? Because I'd be impressed if it's the former. Neat track tho, nicely done.

Thank you for your feedback. Still kind of new to dark techno, so might explain the lack of... everything. Anywho, thank you, will try to vary more next time :)

This is kinda nice. Maybe you could make the flowing water sound that starts around 0:03 more stereo, some reverb or chorus to make it feel more involved. Personally, I would add some bass intrument or instruments at 0:40, because as it is now it feels a bit empty. If you wanna keep the calm vibe, you could've probably used a sine wave or organ synth in a low pitch.

I don't know, but the song's nice so nicely done.

Least consistent producer in town. Everything's free to use and download, do anything you want. (Yes, GD too.)
